Basic Grey NSD Challenge!

Hello! I've finally had some time to finish up a few challenges from National Scrapbooking Day. First, I have a challenge from Basic Grey to use a mixed Font title.
For this page I mainly used the Wander line, but the "Fish" letters are from another collection.

Jillibean Soup NSD Sketch Challenge!

Hello again! Jillibean Soup posted a NSD Challenge on the blog to use one of three sketches. I choose to work with this one (for now):


All three sketches are great, simple beginning sketches to really let your creativity flow!
I wanted to use a Jillibean kit I had bought awhile ago, but of course since I wanted to use it RIGHT NOW, I couldn't find where I put it! :) So I dug through my Jillibean papers and pulled out some of their kraft patterns (my fav!) from winter.

To go along with the winter theme, I printed out some 2x3 pictures using my little PoGo printer. They are pictures from my phone, so they are great for this small size. I first changed them to sepia tone because I thought it would be cute with the kraft patterns. These are pics from this years skating night with everyone from my daughter's school that her gym teacher hosts every year- so fun!

NSD Paper Smooches Cardstock Challenge!

Kim over at Paper Smooches issued a challenge for National Scrapbooking Day, cause it's for card makers, too! :) I will be finishing up some challenges for layouts over the week, so stop on back if you want some layout inspiration!
Kim's challenge was to use only solid cardstock- no patterned paper!
I made this card for my daughter's birthday- she loves animals and loves Kim's stamps!

I used the Zoo Crew stamp set for everything on this card. And ONLY solid cardstock, some markers and a little twine!
As soon as I first saw this set, I thought of making cute little banners out of that triangle party hat. Well, for this card I wanted to make something bigger and more prominent on the card, so I stamped it repeatedly to make that cute border!
The hippo was stamped on grey cardstock, the giraffe on yellow and the leaves on green.

PTI Make It Monday #55: Creating larger frames with smaller frame stamps

Hello! Ok, so I'm finally posting a Make it Monday project I do before the following Monday! I've played along with several of the challenges, but I can never seem to get it posted before the deadline. Well, I'm trying to change that starting now. :) I loved this challenge, it really got me thinking of lots of other ways I can use some PTI stamps already in my collection.

For my card I decided to use one of the Fillable Frames frames stamped twice to make my larger frame.

Along with my Fillable Frames image, I also stamped and cut out the rectangle label from Pretty Peonies and used the Heart to Heart #1 set for the coffee cups. The sentiment is from Framed out #1, which I think works perfectly in that long rectangle frame!

There are some really great creative projects people came up with for this challenge! Off to look at more :)

PTI February Blog Hop!

Time for the PTI monthly blog hop! This months challenge was to make an interactive card. I received my Feb. PTI order just in time to use one of their new Movers & Shakers dies to make a zipper card. When you pull on the zipper it rips off and reveals the rest of the sentiment underneath. Very fun!

Since I did have my PTI order, I decided to also use some great new stamp sets. For the sentiments and arrows I used the Movers and Shakers sentiments set. Such a great set to use on anything- with or without using the new dies. There are lots of really great sentiments. The small sentiment under the zipper strip says "I am even more grateful for you".

I used the smaller floral image with versamark stamped on the green, from the new Anniversary set "Pretty Peonies". While stamping that, I just used a couple post it notes to mask the zipper, first stamping above, than below it.

I also used the solid large flower, outline and leaves on the main panel.

The background was done using the new Background Basics: Medallions. I really love this set. The stamp strips for this large pattern are HUGE which makes it really easy and quick to do the whole background!

TE Sketch Challenge #152

Just in time! I'm quick putting up my entry for the #152 sketch! I used an older TE KOTM for all the papers/button as well as a cute TE stamp set (The Places You'll Go)!

Perfect set to make a thank you card for an author who came to speak at our elementary school! I just love all the great children's book quotes!

PTI day 10 Challenge!

Today the PTI team showed all the fun new Mover and Shaker dies! Great dies to make interactive cards even funner and easier! Because of that, today's challenge is to make an interactive card.

It is Valentine's Day, so I had to make one more valentine! I made a viewfinder card using the Tiny Treats: Valentine set.
