It's finally here! My first official PDD Wednesday! I just got my first box of goodies from Pez-A-Doodle, so i'll be playing with lots of new stuff for upcoming posts! Anyhow...for today I wanted to play with some great Tim Holtz products (lots of great TH/Ranger stuff at the Pez-A-Doodle store! I also used some Perfect Pearls in Pearl :) First my project for today:
It's hard to tell from the card pic how awesomely glimmery this is! Here's what it looks like in the light:
Is that great or what!? So here's what I did. First I took my panel of white cardstock and sponged on TH Distress Inks in rows of Spiced Marmalade, Peeled Paint & Broken China. Then using a mini mister, I put in a good scoop of Perfect Pearls and filled the rest with water. Just leave enough space so you can shake it up. After shaking, I generously sprayed over my entire inked panel. When you do this the paper will curl from being wet, but will lay flat as soon as it starts to soak in.
After allowing some drying time, I stamped the images (clear stamps from Tim Holtz) with Jet Black Archival Ink. I then ran a baby wipe along the edges to dampen them and distressed it just a little. Mount on black card and add washers & brads.
Lots to explain, but really quite an easy project and a big WOW factor with the glimmer from the Perfect Pearls!
Now, head on over to the other PDD design girls, they're all listed on the left of my blog. Lots of great stuff to see!
