PTI September Blog Hop #4

Alrighty, I just finished my last card that I had in my head for this challenge! A square wreath with beautiful springy colors using Mini Blooms. I decided to use Bountiful Banners as well to put in the middle popped up instead of the sentiment being lower inside the wreath.
That mini blooms set is beautiful to personalize the colors, but definitely takes some time! I do love the finished product. There's tons of die cuts, stamps and colors but it still looks like a simple beautiful card.
Thanks for visiting!

PTI September Blog Hop #3

Ok, back again! This card is a slight trip off track from my other cards! As I was die cutting frames to use as bases to construct wreaths, it made me think. To me the wreath is more of a frame. They can be any shape or size, just be pretty to look at or hold something inside, or both!
And that's where this card sprang out of!
I used the main die from Fabulous frames in the center of a 4"x5.25" black paper, inked & die cut the hello and attached across it, than made a "wreath" out of the word bubbles from Bubble Talk.
I'm so loving neon right now, so I wanted to use that to contrast the black & white.

PTI September Blog Hop #2

Hello again! I just had to finish up this card so it didn't take long. For this fall leaf wreath (try saying that 10 times fast!) I used the oval frame from the hydrangeas set as a base and covered it in die cut leaves from the squirrel dies.
I stamped the card front with the herringbone background in versamark as well as the little leaf by the sentiment.
The acorn on the wreath was colored with copics.

PTI September Blog Hop!

Hello! This month's PTI blog hop challenge is: wreaths. It took me awhile to narrow down my options here to get to the card & I still couldn't stop at one idea, so I'll be sharing a couple more through the day! But, for my first card I went with a winter snowflake wreath.
I used a 1.75" punch to make that cute tag into a shaker as well as a perfect circle to put my snowflakes around for a winter wreath!
With a white on white chevron cover plate card front, snowflake covered sentiment banner and that cute little snow globe snowman!
I think I'm working on the seasons backwards because my next wreath has a fall theme! Check back soon!

PTI MIM 132: Layered Border Die Cuts

When I saw Dawn's card for this weeks MIM it made me smile! It's similar to a card I did last year with the SAF set layering papers using a card edger die, which I LOVED! :)
So, I decided to go back to the idea I loved the outcome of so much with a Halloween spin this time!
You can see in the last photo that I also cut a 1" strip of one of the patterned papers to glue along the bottom of the inside so that would show when closed.
I love Halloween so I'm especially in love with this adorably spooky version!

SAF:Closing Ceremonies

Such a fun weekend! Especially Saturday with all the girls (minus Chris-we missed you!) at Heather's house. I just love having them to chat with and get input from whole I'm stamping!
Thank you to everyone from PTI for all the work putting everything together and a BIG THANK YOU to Heatger and her family for hosting (especially her husband for cooking-yum!)!
Here's my final screen shot when I got back home.

Just made it back before midnight! :)

(Can't wait for next year!)

SAF: Gallon Quart Pint Kiddo sized!

So, of course my daughter Shelby had to play along while I finished up challenges back at home Sunday! She wanted to put her card up for the challenge as well, so here she is with her Halloween Tag (with a treat on the back!)
So cute! :)

SAF: Sweet Sugar Coated Embellishments

For my last SAF challenge I decided to use the "hello" that I had cut out from the salt challenge & sugar coat it!
For the dots, I just used the eraser on the end of a pencil stamped with inks.

I'm so excited that I actually did each challenge!

SAF: Limited Ingredient Challenge

So for this challenge there was a three color combo we could use as well as one  1" strip of a soft grey, so I decided to cut them all in 1" strips and use the birthday backgrounds. On the soft stone strip I also stamped the happy birthday in the darker smokey shadow ink.

Back in a sec to post my last challenge card!

SAF: Whipping Up Scentsational Cards

I just love doing this technique and knew my kids would as well, so I decided to make a little lunchbox note with their favorite thing...chocolate!

SAF:Oven Fresh Accents

Since I had out my Halloween set, I continued with that theme and made some shrunken spiderwebs for Halloween Earrings for Shelby!
I need to pick up special findings for her so they're not wearable yet, but the cute little spiderwebs are ready to go!

SAF: Gallon, Quart, Pint

For this challenge I decided to do a Tag and break out a Halloween set because I cannot wait for Halloween! So, of course I used Black, orange, white!

I just love that little guy!

SAF:Sprinkle of Salt Techniques

For the salt technique I used regular Prang watercolor paints and course kosher salt. After my card front was finished and dry I die cut it before attaching with foam tape to a 5.25" square card base.

SAF: Mixing Mists to Match

For the misting challenge, I used a mask to mist a chevron pattern as well as misting a white Heidi Swapp butterfly to add on.
I also colored some clear rhinestones with a copic marker to match.

SAF-Rolled Dough Designs

For this challenge I used the featherlight clay just rolled out plain and left to dry overnight.
I took my piece of thin dry clay and die cut the triangles, than stamped with the coordinating stamps.

Before glueing my stamped die cuts to the card base I stamped & embossed the sentiment in white. To add a little bling, I colored some clear rhinestones with copics.
Off to post #4!

SAF Tea Staining Techniques

I'm back with my second project of the day, tea staining techniques. For my project I used different felt colors which were tea dyed in black tea as well as crocheted ribbon that was dyed as well.
Here is my finished card:

I just love how these leaves for the turkey feathers look in all the soft colors!
I used the gobble gobble stamp to stamp the entire card front then cut melon berry for a banner to put my turkey on. The little felt heart on his chest just makes him even sweeter!
Off to challenge #3!

SAF Breakfast Bake & Take

I've got my first SAF card completed! Yay! :) The first challenge of the day was to choose one of the posted color combos and one of the sketches and go from there. I decided to use the Fancy Folk Art stamp set and these:
And here is my finished card:

I packed super light today so I don't have any embellishments with me besides some clear rhinestones so I dressed them up with copics to match the colors of the challenge.
That large image is so fun to color and a perfect way to put all the colors from the challenge together!
For the sentiment, I just cut a strip of paper and folded and cut it for the banner.
Time to work on challenge #2! Stop by again soon!
