Halloween Spooks & Sweets!

I LOVE Halloween! Fun decorations, costumes, treats and the most cute & fun paper crafting products of the year! Scrapy Land's got all kinds of fun papers and dies for your Halloween & Fall crafting.
Halloween may be tomorrow- but there will still be scrapping to be done of all those cute ghosts & goblins!
Today I have a bunch of cute projects to share  for some Halloween packaging, tags, cards & other goodies!
All of my projects today are using the Doodlebug Halloween papers.

First I made a bunch of treat bag toppers, simply using pieces of 6x3 cardstock folded in half, decorated & stapled on top of treat bags with a tiny attacher. This first one above uses this awesome Sizzix Trick or Treat die set! I added a Doodlebug red "sprinkle" to the spider to make it look black widow-ish.

My next package uses a pre-bought bag just decorated. Again, I used the Sizzix Trick or Treat set. I used the main image, but only die cut the "trick" & "treat" on words to attach. I also used the "or" from the die set and attached it to a old chipboard cat I had which I colored with a black copic & a orange jewel eye. On the top I used the Memory Box Debutante Frame embossed with the Darice Stars embossing folder and folded in half, a little "Happy Halloween" sticker made into a tag & it's all set to go!
I also used just some simple cut shapes for some little tags to tape onto candies. For one, I wrapped up a google eye like a candy :) The other just uses some stickers to decorate it.
One more "treat" for one of my little monsters :) I like to get my kids each a new Halloween book each year- something fun or spooky about Halloween or monsters or other creepy crawlies!
Here is a bookmark I made to go with my daughter's book this year using the Die-Namics Bookmark Duo dies. This is an AWESOME die set! You can use just one of them to make a simple bookmark, or attach the two together so you can tent it over your book page.
I also added a fun tassel top with a bunch of Doodlebug twines. (The Happy Halloween are stickers from Doodlebug as well)
Onto some cards! One fun, layered but subtle colored and one bright and simple, fun! Both of these cards use this beautiful frame die from the Sizzix Christmas die set. Not just for Christmas- it looks like great spooky ironwork in black!

These are the Copics used for my "Fangtastic" card. Black Ink: Memento.

Well, that's it for now! Hope you enjoyed my pre-Halloween goodies & you have a fun & safe Halloween!

October 2013 Papertrey Blog Hop!

This months PTI Blog Hop is to make a set of tags. I decided to get started making some simple tag designs for Christmas presents. I like to make some fancier tags for special presents, but some nice simple ones is nice for ones here at the house!
To get the red & green on the little branches and holly, I just colored the stamp with some Tombow markers rather than an inkpad so I could do two colors.

I used 3 different tag sale dies as well as the following stamp sets:

Winter Snow Globe Stamp Set
To You From Me Stamp Set
Framed Out #8 Mini Stamp Set
Thanks for stopping by! On to hop & make some more tags! :)

Scrapyland Wednesday: Soccer & Coach Inspiration!

Hello! Thanks for stopping by today! If you came over from the Scrapyland Blog- welcome! Feel free to poke around or subscribe to my blog through bloglovin', email or GFC on the right of the page to keep up on my new projects!
Today, I'm featuring some projects I made for the end of my son's first soccer season! Today I used mainly my Silhouette machine and this great jersey die by MFT Die-Namics. Both can be found at Scrapyland searching "jersey" or "silhouette".
I got my inspiration to use the jersey die from cookies I made for all the team members with their jersey numbers on them:
I thought the boys would think it was cool to have their own jersey in a cookie and I was right! They LOVED them and (I have to say) the recipe made really yummy cookies!

I carried the jersey shape over into my projects using the Die-Namics jersey die. What's so great about this die is it looks great on it's own & great when personalized with your player's number &/or name!
I used the matching stamp set from MFT, but you could really use any number & alpha sets that would fit as well as lots of great alphabet & number font die sets! It's also great for lots of sports- it would also look great for a football jersey, volleyball or lots of other sports!

I kept my coach's projects fairly simple so I could make one for each of the 3 coaches as well as one of the dads who happens to be a school counselor & helped my son out a lot by staying on the field with him every time he was on- he was an amazing help!

I tied the jersey die in again on a scrapbook page, using it with my son's name & number to personalize it to him. I also used some great cuts using my Silhouette machine, a soccer ball I sized up to fit along the edge of the page and a great "soccer" title that includes the year already on it! I used some polka dot paper for the numbers to tie in with the round soccer ball. I also stamped a Hero Arts background stamp "Life of Party Dots" (just go to Scrapyland and search "hero art dots") with white pigment ink to keep that dotty theme going along the left side of the page. (This stamp was used on my cards as well)

Again, thanks for stopping by! You can purchase that great jersey die as well as TONS of great metal dies at great prices at Scrapyland. They also carry the Silhouette Cameo machine, which is amazing if you're looking for an electronic die cutter as well!

This also fits the current challenge at City Crafter Challenge Blog. It's a Giving Thanks challenge.
