Hello! With Thanksgiving & than Christmas quickly approaching, I've been working on packaging for small gifts for friends and family. This time of year, it's nice to have some options on hand for when you need to grab a gift and go or just suprise someone with a little something!
Let's start out with a cute Fall acorn & tag:
I started by cutting this cute acorn gift box with my Silhouette. I ran the acorn top through my Vagabond with the Sizzix Swirl embossing folder than sanded to make the embossing stand out more. I tied 4 pieces of rustic twine around the stem to hold a bunch of little leaves cut out of AC Earthtones cardstocks with the Tim Holtz Autumn Gatherings Decorative Strip die. I just sandwiched two of the same leaves together on the end of each piece of twine. The top of the acorn comes off the put little treats inside!
I used some of the left over leaves to make this cute little Autumn tag! The tag is cut with the Paper Smooches Scallop Tag die. I wrapped some of the same twine around a scrap piece of paper from my other projects & adhered that to my tag front, than adhered leaves with small foam squares to pop them up.
Ok, onto Winter & Christmas!
This cute snowman box was also cut with my Silhouette. The cut file has the little snowman cut out that you can put patterened paper behind or acetate to make it see-thru. I decided to do a bit extra and make it into a shaker filled with glitter and snowflakes! I used patterened papers from the Echo Park: So This Is Christmas 6x6 paper pad.
This large snowman bag cut on the Silhouette was cut on American Crafts cardstocks and the Echo Park: So This Is Christmas 6x6 paper pad. I also cut out some holly leaves & used sequins as the berries to jazz up his hat a bit!
And, two more Christmas tags:
That beautiful Snowflake edge is the Couture Creations Tinsel die. I HIGHLY recommend you check out all their Christmas dies that cut & emboss! The cut is amazing and the embossing is stunning! I left it all white here, but you could ink the embossed portions to stand out in another color and get a totally different look- beautiful! I used one of the deer from the Impression Obsession Deer Trio die that was left over from last weeks cut on the right tag. I'm really loving those deer! You can kind of use them on everything!
Oh, and by the way, Scrapy Land now offers a wait list option if your favorite die is out of stock! Just sign up on the waitlist so they can get some more in!
Now that I'm working on Christmas projects I have so many ideas to share & can't wait to be back with you next Wednesday!
